#project52 #2012project52 [20/52 – Contrasting Colours]

Food is back this week in #project52 with my submission for the "Contrasting Colours" theme.
I went to the bakery and could not resist the colours of these macaroons!
They or not from Ladurée nor Pierre Hermé, and I have not even tasted them yet, but they sure did look appetizing and very well fitting with this theme!

Now that they are shot, I will go eat some.

Enjoy the week-end.

Of course, this is for +Project52-2012 curated by +Giuseppe Basile +Kate Church moderated by +Greg Berdan +LaDonna Pride +Sue Butler.
But also for #sweetssunday by +Michael Earley and +Annie Irving

  1. Great shot! I love the colors. You said that they're not from Ladurée nor Pierre Hermé. Are the macarons from these places out of this world? BTW, I don't know anything about macarons.

  2. +Natty Netsuwan, thanks for the comment. if you ever come to France, go to Pierre Hermé and you will taste :D. Ladurée is the most "famous", which is why is why I talked about it. Pierre Hermé is a favorite to some, and there are a few other bakers dedicating their time to macarons, such as Gérard Mulot. To learn out more about Macarons, you can check out this Wikipedia page : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macaron

Thanks for the comment. Nope, still not eaten one, I have 10 waiting… they will start disappearing tonight after dinner ;).

  3. +Annie Irving +Project52-2012 Thanks!
+Natty Netsuwan Well… your wallet will take some damage (around 2€/macaron, the ones are shot were "mini" and were around 1€ each). In terms of calories, some damage as well with around 115kcal per unit :).
Oh, and I had 3 so far : Blackberry (the one you get to see on the far right), Lemon (do I really need to tell you which one it is? :)), Raspberry (red on top)…

    Have a great week everyone.
